Since 2005, we’ve been finding residents, building managers, corporations and public institutions all across Tribeca who have adopted “their” street trees. And we’ve found that trees that have a care giver are only 1/3 as likely to die – and that they’re much healthier and more beautiful. Today, about 400 of our 750 Tribeca Street Trees have a care giver, but that still leaves many of our trees without a “champion”.

Second, do a few simple things – water the tree once a week during the hot months, and if you’re able, provide some improvements to the tree’s “home” – its tree bed. We’ll be happy to meet with you to go over how to do these things. It’s easy, not very time consuming, and to be honest, it’s gratifying to see how the trees thrive.
